Staff Biographies

Lorrie C. Reed is a recently retired veteran educator whose extensive career has focused on both public schools and universities. At the higher education level, she has served as an associate professor at three universities. In these academic settings she taught master’s degree and doctoral level courses in educational administration, research methods, and statistics. She also directed the Center for Urban Research and  Education (CURE) at a major state university. Prior to entering academia, Lorrie spent more than 15 years as a public school administrator in various academic settings in the Chicago Metropolitan area. Her educational leadership included positions as state  educational specialist, associate high school principal, director of curriculum and personnel, and junior high school principal. She began her educational career as a high school English teacher. Lorrie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Secondary Education, a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration, a Master of Theological Studies, and a Ph.D. in Research Methodology.

James R. Reed III is co-founder and Chief Information Officer for Center Street Consulting. In 2001 Jim retired from a lengthy career with the Illinois State Police, where he served in various capacities,  including managing large-scale computer systems. He minored in Computer Science at the undergraduate level and possesses a master’s degree in Social Justice Administration. Jim has served as CIO in other  organizations including five years at a private health and fitness studio in Chicago. Jim is a "people person" who understands the technological needs of clients and possesses the skills and versatility to help them  solve their problems and meet their goals.
